After many frustrating hours of trying to sync my IPAQ with my computer, spending more hours on a worthless chat session with hp, and exploring every avenue I could think of, I finally made the right move. I called Martens Farms and was fortunate enough to speak with Lorra Martens.

Lorra's extensive knowledge of all things IPAQ, and her unending perseverance paid off. She used an interactive help session to take control of my computer and talk me through the right steps to fix my problem. She even helped me get the very latest version of Farmworks and gave me some great advice on saving files and working smarter.

Martens Farms sets the bar of customer service very high in a time when most companies don't have the capability of looking up the meaning of those words in a dictionary.

We've been using Farm Works for about 6 years.  We went to a training class this past year and learned more from Jim and Lorra than we ever imagined we would. They have been great help when we have a problem or just a simple question about Farm Works, Site Mate, Trac Mate , and even our Trimble products. 

Just this past week we started planting and had to borrow a planter from a neighbor. Our neighbors planter monitor required a radar signal and we do not have radar on our tractor. So I called Lorra to see if my Trimble antenna would send the signal I needed and if she could help me make a cable to do so. Well she told me that my antenna would not work, but that they had one that would and they would rent it to me. So within 36 hours I had an antenna that would work in my tractor and was planting, I live 320 miles from the Martens. I would give them an A+ in service and knowledge. Thank You Jim & Lorra.

"We have been to training classes put on by Lorra and Jim Martens and classes put on by the Farmworks staff - there is no comparison. With Lorra we got practical, hands on information. We live in such a remote area and usually the closest training class is 200+ miles away, so we pay money to go to the training classes to get information above and beyond the tutorials and manuals. With Lorra we were not told that something is too advanced for a class. She has been using the program in their farming operation and knows what does and doesn't work. If she doesn't know the answer to a question she finds out. If we have a unique situation that she has never seen, she will work with it to find something that works. We would strongly recommend any training classes put on by Lorra and Jim."

"I have struggled ever since I bought my first computer back around 1990 to figure out a data base to keep my cattle records. I've shuffled scraps of paper and calenders over and over, trying to make sense of who gave birth to who. Your presentation to the Cass-Jackson County MO Cattlemen's meeting made it clear that managing herd information is much easier with Farm Stock software.

I found all sorts of notes and pictures squirreled away, and have now entered 30+ years of old records to get herd information current. It didn't take as long as I thought and is well worth the time. Now all those loose details are organized and actually useful! We need to do some hard culling this year and better records will help us make some educated decisions about selecting bulls for breeding. The reports and pedigrees are very helpful with these and other decisions. In addition I now have a hard copy of births for Country of Origin Labeling requirements.
